Golf in Udon Thani
The golf courses in the tourist destinations of Thailand enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide. The golf courses in Udon Thani are certainly not the best in the country, but assessed on the basis of price and condition, overall they earn very good grades.
Fortunately playing golf is no longer the hobby of just the elite classes, and has become much more affordable for the middle classes, leading to many quality courses being developed.
You won't pay much for a day on one of Isaan's courses. The green fees are a fraction of what you'd pay in Europe. For a caddy's services, you'll pay 200 thb per round, and they'll not only pull your golf trolley, but also give good advice and search for lost balls. A tip for the caddy is common practice and is in addition to the caddy fee. Better caddies can and should, however, be given a bigger tip.
Here we show you the courses around Udon. During the week, provided it's not a holiday, the courses will be relatively calm and relaxed. Weekends and holidays can be very crowded and often you end up behind a group of 6 or more players, which wouldn't be allowed in Europe. Here it's commonplace.
We have included links to the individual golf courses along with all the relevant information such as green fees, card of the course, and of course directions.
