Wat Kham Chanot part 1

The Wat is certainly nothing special for non-Buddhists - but since it gained its importance through a Naga allegedly living in the adjacent lake, the area has remained unspoilt.
For this reason, the island retains an exceptional and spectacular vegetation. Don't forget to take a couple of large plastic bottles so you can take your Thai family some 'holy' Nagawater!

For three days I was traveling by bike in the far northeast of Isaan - quite a sparsely populated area, very scenic with still largely natural vegetation. An ideal place for eco-tourists and a wonderful spot for a cozy and tranquil biking trip on a comfortable chopper.
