High quota set to stem illegal travel

The Labour Ministry has set a target to formally send 100,000 Thai labourers abroad this year to prevent them from travelling overseas to seek employment illegally, said Labour Minister MR Chatu Mongol Sonakul. The minister said the ministry will recruit an initial batch of 70 workers, to be sent to work in casinos and hotels in Macau, China.
