Smog lifts from Bangkok, people elsewhere still suffer

Bangkok was largely smog-free on Thursday morning with unsafe fine dust levels reported only in Wang Thonglang district, but air pollution still plagued residents of 10 other provinces - the worst reported from Phrae. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration reported that levels of particulate matter 2.5 micrometres and less in diameter (PM2.5) ranged from 27 to 55 microgrammes per cubic metre of air over the 24 hours tp 7am. The government-set threshold is 50mcg.
