12 provinces remain under water

Twelve provinces, mostly in the Northeast, remained flooded on Friday, with Ubon Ratchathani receiving overwhelming water from other provinces before it flowed into the Mekong River. Chayaphol Nitisak, director-general of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, reported floods in Phichit, Phitsanulok and Sukhothai provinces in the North; Amnat Charoen, Khon Kaen, Roi Et, Sakon Nakhon, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Yasothon and Nakhon Phanom in the Northeast; and Nakhon Sawan in the Central Plains.
