Jasmine rice

Jasmine rice is the most popular rice in Thailand, even more so than the sticky rice popular in Isaan. The rice is one of the so-called fragant rice varieties that deserve their name because it gives off a fragrant smell during cooking. Jasmine rice can be substituted for basmati rice.
