During or after the rainy season, the Mekong River is as one would imagine one of the longest rivers in the world: wide and powerful!

In the dry season, however, the river shrinks and provides space and opportunity to use the river banks much like the seaside.

To bathe in the river is certainly not necessarily to everyone's taste - but this opportunity is certainly appreciated by many.

A visit to the beach on the Mekong River is still a worthwhile pastime and here you can relax in Isaan in a unique way, and enjoy the peace and the nature.
