Ban Ton soi dao
We are now entering the soi dao (lit. street party) season, when each village holds a party at the local temple. The village headman pays for it, and better-off families provide free food and drink for the attendees. These photos are of the party at Ban Ton in tambon Nong Nakham.
Of course the first thing you see/hear is the inevitable over-loud band and beauty-too-much dancers.

For 20 baht you buy a raffle ticket, and everyone is a winner! Prizes range from a packet of noodles or a bar of soap, to a bicycle or even a TV.
Did I mention there's a bouncy castle? Kids only unfortunately.
